Да, Muir Woods совсем недалеко от нас. Больше того, минутах в 10-15 езды на машине находится еще один парк - Redwood Regional Park :)
До Redwood National Park от нас что-то около 275 - 350 миль (зависит от того, в какую часть парка нужно попасть)
А вот что Википедия (и не только она) пишет о Редвудах, растущих на побережье Sequoia sempervirens (pronounced /sɨˈkwɔɪ.ə ˌsɛmpərˈvaɪrənz/)[1] is the sole living species of the genus Sequoia in the cypress family Cupressaceae (formerly treated in Taxodiaceae). Common names include Coast Redwood and California Redwood
